Hi Luke, i'm a 17 years old student from Spain, and in only 1 year i will start in the university. I have been playing GW since April of 2011, but like 3 months ago, I left the game because some personal problems i had at home. Now that i have some free time during the day, I enter to the game with one objective, get finnaly the obsidian armor. That will be my last objective of the game till gw2 releases, and if i could make it true, i would be so proud of the work i did, and not only i, a lot of friends that are helping with little donations, which are helping me a lot. Now I have like 15e and 20 shards. It doesn't matter the amount of ectos or plat you want to give me, any help is appreciated, so decide by your own, and good luck with your work, i love reading and you will be very successful, i'm sure. I, like most people, am going for 30 HoM points. I originally was aiming for 23, but I think I can do better, even though I'm only at 22. I need 2 more armors for 2 points, probably going asuran and Norn armors. The reason I need the money is because I saved up for over a month to buy an armbrace and now I am at like 2 platinum, aka super broke. I'm asking for 20 ectos to pay for the armors and give me some wriggle room on cash again.

Hello Luke,

I mainly want the money for re-building my characters. After a long absence from GW for about a year or even longer, i decided to proceed and archieve maybe some more titles with my quite well-eqipped characters. Problem was my account got compromised in my absence. I first had to retrieve my PW fro the support. When I then logged in I was shocked and stunned. My whole characters where completely naked and EMPTY! With my favourite Assasin, I collected 3 prestige armours and even the chaos gloves. In purple they were perfect match with the purple elite kurzick armour. Female character BTW. Anyways I also got a few other chars which are totally empty. The guy must have been just running to the vendor and sell everything he could sell. Xunlai box empty. All bags of all chars empty. Even the least valuable thing was soll except Minipets and all the other stuff you can't sell at the vendor.
The support told me the incident must have happened around june last year where they did not have the backup tools yet, so they were not able to restore ANYTHING!
My plan with the money would be to at least re-build my favourite character, the assassin.

I am not sure what to write about the amount cause I hate this like having to estimate my grade at the end of the year in school before getting told the one the teacher decided on.
But thinking about all the stuff I lost and the countless, thousands of hours I put into GW, I would say 75e. This is the original value of the chaos gloves, which I of course will not be able to buy again. But this will be well enough money to buy again all the stuff I loved and put together with alot of heart-blood to enjoy GW as I did before.

Until now, I just managed to produce a little capital through selling the minipets I got for birthdays in my absence. I was even able to buy a max armour for my assassin^^ But Playing GW does not make any fun If you lack almost every other equipment than a staff from a friend (for my unsuccessfull tries on farming some money now) and a basic armour.

Some background info.
I bought Prophecies shortly after it was released but didn't liked it. Now, after I read both Guild Wars (2) books I really wanted to participate in some of the events that shaped Tyria and I love it.

Since I read your thread I fought with myself whether or not to ask you for some support to fill my HoM, but after reading all requests I realized that I can pull it of myself. I don't want to take the shortcut (you) and I have enough time to get to 30/50 before GW2 is released and maybe more.

Still, there is something you can help me with. I'm a pretty new player and 1000e is an incredible amount of wealth that I don't even dare to dream of, but I really want to learn how to earn just a fraction of it myself. So, if you have some spare time pm me.

I am GW player for 6 years now and in that time i managed somehow to get money and items but always a little bit,and often i used that to help my friends

And cause that i didnt buy any fancy weapons,armors minis and etc .Now i dont have time to farm to get items(i didnt have much time ever

) and i would like to have 2 more armors,2 more minis,everlasting char tonic(i love cats *-*) or i'll use money you give me to help my friends,cause i love helping other people and to not ask anything in return

So i would need like,35-40 ectoes or 1 at least

I dont mind which amount,ill be grateful anyway

It's nice to see fellow generous players out there. As you can read, you're not the only one. I basically give away everything I get, Ectos, high end drops. Which means in the end I never managed to keep some ectos or high end drops for myself. I've been shifting online and offline for the past few weeks, because real life. I rarely get on because real life is important to me as well as it is to you

. Since I've read the whole post, I'll be honest. I can't wait to see your novel published, if I see it here somewhere, I'll buy a copy, or send one to me, that'd be great. (I really enjoy reading books, and I've written a lot of stories myself, just way to shy to put them online.)

The reason why I'm posting in this thread is not because of your large amount of wealth, and am that needy to need it. Since I'm trying to spare every little bit into my paragon her obby armor. And I'm sure it'll take a while -but who says I'm getting the whole set? I just am after the skirt and the boots! Longer skirts are so much more elegant- I'll be honest , Very honest that is, I've had my whole account full of obsidian armor, back in the day (Was also the time I decided not to be in a guild). Then I left for a few years and realized my account got hacked. I still use the same account, decided to delete all my characters because there was nothing of value left on them and left for a short while until I found the mood to play again.

Unlike most people I decide not to go for 50/50 anymore, I'm happy with the 31/50 I got. it already took me a while to get all those done in the past few years, and believe me. I've been busy, could've been busier, but it's hard to mix real life with guild wars. Especially if you stand in my shoes.

So Basically I've been trying to pop online daily, But that does not work well all the time. I've got long days of college and work coming up. And I've got a mother and brother to look after these days. So basically I can't mix both right now. The only time I can get online is during the night. Which screws up my sleeping rythm -I'm sure you've been there- And it'll be hard to get back to my normal sleeping pattern if it won't change. I'm trying to rush way too many things right now as in trying to get GWAMM for my ranger as soon and as fast as possible, it's stressing when you see another guild mate, who started at the same time, being faster than you and yell at you for no reason in PM when you go away for a couple of days.

But let's get back to business, now that I've read your post, and you're currently reading mine.
I'm only in need of 10 ectos, no more, no less. Those will be the last 10 I need to get both the skirt and the boots. -Yes I've been trying to save up, only by resulting doom of a couple of friends of mine! (''omg a VS can you buy it? it's so pretty!'' 'well yes, sure, I'll buy it. See it as a present.' <- that is what has been happening the past few weeks now, and I've been basically trying to keep my ectos away in a safe place ever since then, not that I'm greedy, but I can't keep buying things for other's if I can't buy the things I want for myself, right?)-

So I think that's about it, hit me up sometime though, I would love to hear about your Story.

Hello there Luke, I'm Charlie. I am not much of a literary person although I have started recently on The Name of the Wind by P. Rothfuss. I have finished reading The Night Angel Trilogy which are great books! You'd be Durzo with all that experience and I'd be Azoth before I become Kylar. If you have read TNAT, then we may have much to talk about!

The money will be for the last stretch to the goal of reaching 30/50 HoM or even further depending on the friendly helping hand that puts money into wallet instead of stealing from it. The HoM is at 20/50 at the moment.

The amount...well, I do not know the fine line between being greedy unless it is asking for 60e plus. I will ask for 45 ectoplasms, but it is entirely your call.

The social part of the game sort of died when my friends quit playing the game, because we have only started not so long ago, about 9 months in. I can join a guild or make new friends, however I feel unexperienced to group up with others to grind out for money. Therefore, I solo'd my way to 20/50 HoM and as well as to 30.

I just wanted to start by saying that this is a really nice thing your doing, and Im hoping I could get some part in this. I can sometimes also tend to ramble on so I hope I dont bore you, if so you have the option of not reading this. But anyways Ill give you some background on myself (:

Im a six year player, just like yourself, however Ive not been able to accumulate as much fortune as you. Ive never been the really "rich" type, Ive even been hacked on my account before somehow. That doesnt really matter though because I had personal friends help me back up on my feet. Anyways, Ive came back to try and finish up as much as I could on my HoM, which Ive been grinding for alone, and Im pretty proud to say that Ive reached 37/50 pts. There is one really easy but expensive title that would help tremendously if you could help me out. That would be the Zaishen rank 3, Im currently at 1 with 335 pts(67 keys) and I need 100 pts(200 keys). Of course I would love to finish this title and achieve the +3 HoM pts it comes along with the emote but I cannot really ask for that amount of ectos that would be required to reach rank 3. It would require 95 ectos or 665k. So I instead ask if I may receive any amount you feel comfortable giving me to help get that title. 1, 5, 10, 25, the choice is yours xP...

I've been around since January after the game came out (six odd years), and I've played off and on, like you, since then. I decided about two years back to try and go and max my "People Know Me" title, but since I never really did have the money to pay for runs (and frankly, didn't really want to if I did) and whatnot, I put in a large chunk of time and effort working for the points I earned (to put it into perspective, I farmed 2600 presents during the event and gave them all away to some guy who would hang around Eye Of The North during the Wintersday event and tell awesome stories / give away items to make people happy).

However, due to a somewhat infamous leak of information in arenanet a few years ago, my account information was compromised, and I lost *almost* everything. Now, I've never really had a need to have the nicest gear or anything of that sort, but with nothing to go off of and a bunch of level 20 characters (and seeing as I normally play alone), I feel that perhaps if you are kind enough, the ecto could be used to reequip my characters and his heroes. I'm hoping to start vanquishing here since it's the start of summer, and being a biomedical engineering student in the premedical program, I only have so much free time to try and make back enough money to arm my guys with what they need to be effective before I have to work and volunteer.

So, to cut a long story short, I'm trying to turn back the sands of time a bit. The bot stripped all of my characters' useful runes / insigs, so in order to requip my guys (and, at this point, buy my warrior some pants, since it's indecent for him to be running around naked), I ask for whatever you think is a decent enough amount to gear up a few characters and their heroes with basic necessities (armor, runes, greens, since I don't need fancy shmancy rare skins). It's stupid to think that I could try and be rich, besides, it's so much better to just try and enjoy the game I've poured countless hours into; but that is difficult when I'm running on empty.]]

EDIT: I've decided that since I'm an average player, I should ask around what the average is, which comes out to 25.2 ecto, so rounding down, I will ask for 25e, but really, anything is nice. Just want to hack out my HoM titles before GW2 comes out.

first of all I'd like to give you some general information about me. My name is Dennis and I am from germany. i started playing guild wars around 10 days ago, with the intention to get my HoM to around 30 points for all those gifts in Guild Wars 2. I normally don't like MMOs, but gw2 pretty much impressed me with all those things it does different. So after countless time of reading gw2 articles I started to plan my journey throughthe first part of the game.
So i started to read articles on german fansites, and of course gwguru, to find good guides and information about how to move forward.
Actually, I never thought about how much fun gw1 is, and i wish I would have started to play much earlier, and even hope a bit that the release of gw2 is still some time away, to proceed through all campaigns etc

Ok, now to the topic: Because of my study and work, I don't have much time to play GW1. When I read all those HoM-Guides, it was pretty obvious that I need a whole lot of money for it! For me, it's particulary really hard right now to choose on where to spend the little money i get. before I even consider to spent money on the HoM, I need to equip my char and all my heroes with some good weapons and also upgrade there armor with runes. As I've seen through the pvx wiki-builds and this forum, I need a whole lot of new skills, weapons and runes for my heroes and myself to play the most efficient way as possible, but those arent really cheap.
Currently I'm running around kourna with an armor not even with max stats, so this is of course my first priority to spend the money I gain. with the HoM at the back of my mind, I seriously want to spend it on a Vaabi or Kurzick armor, but thats a long way to go.

So all in all, I would really appreciate any gifts from you

If it's really possible, I'd like to get around 40 ectos for my first prestige armor and an overall equipment for my char and heroes. Because I'm not really familiar with prices at all, this may not be the exact amount of money I need, but if it is a bit more, I should be able to get that while playing the game

Greetings and mad props to you, Luke, what you're doing is great.

I've had this game for about 6 and a half years. I've never been particularly wealthy, and not been active for much of that time, despite this I've scraped myself to 38/50 which is pretty much enough for me, and I don't need any help to reach my goal of 40, which will just be more good hard work like my other points which I farmed or did for myself.

What I could do with is about 30e, but any gift is more than enough. The only character I have who has proper gear, for them or their heroes, is my main, and I have a bunch of other characters who I would love to play, but all lack any decent equipment, especially for their heroes. At this point I'll be mainly playing to help others, and I'd prefer a larger selection of character types with which to do this.

I'm Stephen, and I just hit my 1 year anniversary in GW (yesterday) I've been trying to grind away for the Gwamm title and HoM points, I'm often helping out alliance mates with gold and items and realized I have not really been keeping any for myself, I'd really like to get to the aforementioned accomplishments before GW2 is released (It's where all my friends and alliance mates are headed) so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I suppose if I had to name a number 25 ectos would probably do it. Trying to purchase an Armbrace (not certain on the cost of those) Z-keys and party/sweet points.

Hello Luke, and greetings from a fellow connoisseur of the English language. I am a 37 year old single mother of two teenage children, and a junior at the University of Louisville. After a hiatus of many years, I am finally able to take time for me and finish what I started so long ago.

Interestingly, my stint on Guild Wars started around the same time I was forced to drop out of college in a glorious trade for good old-fashioned paycheck-to-paycheck labor. Divorce tends to do things like that. GW truly kept the dark from moving in on me in some very dreary times.

Now I find myself, after playing casually, Mr. Miyagi style "a month on, a month off," trying to get back into the swing of it in order to prepare for GW2. Unfortunately, I've moved to the boonies and am playing on dial-up, so my every effort to vanquish or work in HM is all on me and my heroes. Grouping as a monk (my main character) would be quite rude on my connection. And so, between that misfortune, and my utter refusal to sell high and buy low, I find myself broke, with only 1 set of HoM armor, no weapons, and a few points shy of what I need.

Once upon a time, I could've easily farmed ecto in UW, soloed spiders in FoW, or done any number of repetitive farms that have a good payoff, but that's just not an option now.

I am asking for 30 ecto, which seems like so much to ask for, and feels quite like a begging pooch, and for that I apologize. What this gold will be used for is the acquisition of HoM weapons and/or an additional armor set if possible. Thank you so much, not only from me, but from the GW community as a whole. This is a wonderful idea, and I make a pledge that I will one day pass along any aid you give to me.

I appreciate that you have had your time in Guild Wars, met some friends, and enjoyed the experience. I love playing guild wars, and have found a number of friends in my guild that are truly fun to play the game with. As things wrap up with guild wars one, I am looking to fill my hall of monuments to 30 points. I have been doing pvp to get zkeys and am currently 250 points away from r3 in that title.

Any donation of ectos that would help me acquire more zkeys and save me from farming with all of those bots would be greatly appreciated. 30 ectos would trade for 40ish zkeys which would be 200 points towards the title.
